It is written from the place where the body has already paid too much interest on a debt it never signed for. It is written from Detroit, from Delray, from the apartment, from the room, from the phone note, from the message left unread, from the bed that became a holding cell, from the doorway nobody entered correctly, from the bridge that must now be understood not as an exit, but as a structure built over an impossible crossing.
